Walking into a chiropractor’s office for the first time can stir up a myriad of emotions. Excitement, anticipation, and perhaps a touch of nervousness often accompany the experience. After all, you’re about to embark on a journey of healing and well-being, placing your trust in the hands of a new healthcare professional. However, it’s not uncommon to also feel a certain level of discomfort when meeting with a chiropractor for the first time.
This is why at Apex Performance and Chiropractic we offer discovery appointments to all potential new patients. The appointments are completely free and offer the opportunity for us to get to know each other before committing to work together. So, what exactly are these discovery appointments and how do they work?
Discovery Call
Before ever coming into our office, you can schedule a discovery call. This is simply a phone call for us to gather information about what areas you are concerned with, any pain you are in, and what you are looking to accomplish through our services. This is also a time for you to ask any questions that you may have about a visit to our office.
These calls do not dive too far into the specifics of the treatment we would recommend for you. But, we do ask for enough information to determine what type of injury we may be working with. This is also a time for us to explain what an actual appointment would look like for you and provide you with information on the types of treatments we offer.
A discovery call is intended to make sure that you are a good fit for us and that we are a good fit for you. If at the end of the call, we discover that alternate treatments or a different provider would be a better fit – we would provide you with an appropriate referral.
Discovery Visit
We also offer discovery visits. A discovery visit is provided to that you have the opportunity to come into our office prior to scheduling a full appointment. If after a discovery phone call, we are still not sure we are a good fit for one another, a discovery visit may be able to fill in some gaps for you or us. You have the chance to see the office and we get to meet face to face, which often eases some discomfort or apprehension you may have.
These visits will also give us the opportunity to see how you move, and complete a quick assessment. This allows us to complete a more comprehensive evaluation to assure we are a good fit. Our hope with a discovery visit is to provide you with a better sense of what we are about at Apex Performance and Chiropractic.
In the end, these discovery appointments you are designed to ensure that both you and us are confident that the care we provide at Apex is the right fit for your physical discomfort and needs without spending any money. It is our hope that through these interactions, you gain the confidence and understanding that we can help. If after these appointments we both agree that Apex is the right fit for you, we can then set up an initial examination to complete a full consultation and gather any extra information we maybe didn’t talk about in the discovery appointments.
